This week in the ongoing saga of Tarot 4 Tyson…
- The Past – The Hierophant
- The Present – Queen of Swords
- The Future – King of Pentacles (reversed)
- The Outcome- Knight of Wands (reversed)
This spread seems to be one of transition and change, but at least things don’t seem as dire as they did last week Dr. Tyson. However, what is interesting with this spread is that we have a major arcana card (1) followed by three court cards (2,3,4) each from a different suit. This interests me because in the beginning of doing a reading I like to take note of any patterns I see and the presence of these three court cards is rather noteworthy. Another point of note is that the one element we are missing is water, which relates to the Cups, of which we have none of in this spread. No emotion at all. Though what we do have are three people, specifically a female (2) and a male (3) both of power and authority who are then followed by a messenger (4) of some kind. The Queen of Swords and the King of Pentacles are in definite dialogue in regards to the matter at hand. The text describes the Queen as a widow and the King as a dark man who may also be a master or professor of some kind. It can only be assumed that the concerns that are being referenced in this spread are rooted in The Hierophant card whom the text says is related to marriage, alliance, captivity, servitude, mercy and goodness. So, perhaps the Queen and King are discussing some kind of agreement which as a result is causing the Knight of Wands, who is said to be a dark young man, to relocate? It’s tough to tell. The fact that he (4) is facing away from the Queen and King says to me that he is moving away from them as well. Also the lack of any Cups cards may imply that the decisions alluded to in this spread are not based in emotion, but in practicality. Meaning, these events are happening because they are the most reasonable outcome considering the situation. We have a Queen of intellect and a King of money and material goods coming together, which results is the Knight of Wands heading in a different direction. From this standpoint it’s tough to tell if these events are positive or not. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Until then Dr. Tyson, cheers!
